Only Twenty20 Tournament Playing Condition

COAST CRICKET ASSOCIATION
20:20 TOURNAMENT 2005/2006

PLAYING CONDITIONS


1) These rules and bye – laws cover the tournament mentioned above and shall be read in conjunction with the rules and bye – laws of CCA.

2) Except as varied hereunder the laws of cricket 2000 code (2003 Edition) shall apply.

3) The match shall consist of one inning per side and shall be limited to 20 six balls over, the same to be completed in one and the half hour with one water break after 45 minutes or after 10 overs which ever comes first.

4) NORMAL HOURS OF PLAY

Saturday from
First Innings 2.00 pm to 3.30 pm
Change 3.30 pm to 3.45 pm
Second Innings 3.45 pm to 5.15 pm

5) No bowler may bowl more than four overs.

6) The overs shall be reduced or game abandoned due to adverse conditions, six points plus any bonus points earned shall be credit to both sides.

a) Save for the circumstances where a match is awarded to a team as a consequence of the opposing teams refusal of play (Law 21.3) a result can be achieved only if both teams have had the opportunity of batting for at least 5 overs, unless one team has been all out in less than 5 overs or unless the team batting second scores enough runs to win in less than 5 overs.
b) Save for the circumstances where a match is awarded to a team as a consequence of the opposing teams refusal of play (Law 21.3) all matches in which both teams have not had an opportunity of batting for a minimum of 5 overs, shall be declared no result

7) For the first six overs only two fieldsman are permitted outside the field restriction marking at the instant of the delivery.

8) For the remaining overs only five fields man are permitted to be outside the field restriction marking at the instant of deliver.

9) Game points:

(i) Win – 12 points
(ii) Bonus points:

a) Batting – 1 point each for reaching 100, 125, 150, 175 and 200 maximum of 5 points.
a i) for every three sixes 1 point each and a bonus of 3 points each thereafter on every six in that innings.
b) Bowling – 1 point each for 3, 5, 7, 10 wickets, maximum 4 points.

10) For a NO BALL the rules remain the same in addition you get to play a free hit ball from which the striker can be dismissed only under the circumstances that apply for a No ball. No free hits for a wide ball but rules remain the same.
