Coast Gymkhana - Winner of CCa 50 Over League 2006/07

It was great time of cricket at Mombasa from last few months. Last November Bermuda came to play three ODI in Mombasa, which was won by Kenya. In January this year Scotland, Canada and Kenya played a tri Nation series which also won by Kenya and during this time CCA league was also on a track. On 18th March’07, last game of CCA league played between Coast Gymkhana and Burhani sports Club at Coast Gymkhana. For Coast Gymkhana it was important game for them, as they have to win this game to top the point table. Winning the toss Coast Gymkhana elected to Field first and manage to demolish Burhani team within a score of 26 Runs. Major contribution was from Harish and Irfan who took 5 and 4 wicket resp. This small score has been achieved by Coast gymkhana batsman only in four over’s. At last Coast gymkhana win the game with 18 Points and Won the 50 Over League Tournament.
